Creative Learning

Three inter-connected initiatives; Creative Education, Creative Projects, and Creative Development

The New Wolsey set out to establish a new programme of Creative Learning activity for 2008/2009 to build on the achievements of previous years and to respond better to changes in the profile of formal and informal learning within our sector. A new Creative Learning Team was appointed, led by the new Associate Director Rob Salmon.

We have worked closely with our principal stakeholders to develop a strategic Creative Learning Action Plan which details the activities, timelines, objectives and risks within three inter-connected initiatives; Creative Education, Creative Projects, and Creative Development. These form the Creative Learning Framework, which deliberately spreads the objectives across the whole organisation rather than isolating them within one department.

Creative Learning uses theatre as a catalyst to develop creativity - with the aim of celebrating identity, contributing to positive change and increasing capacity/expertise. Three interconnected initiatives are designed to provide a specific entry point for all skill levels and ages.
