The artwork for 'Footloose.' It shows someone dancing in a pair of white trainers. They are standing on a long empty road, with the surrounding area being miles of open landscape. The sun is setting in the background, giving the image an orange and pink glow. In the centre is the neon pink and white show title.

Get ready to be swept off your feet as we cut loose with our 5-star production of the world-famous musical ‘Footloose!’

Inspired by the true events of a small farming town in Texas, teenager Ren and the classmates of his new school dare to challenge an 82-year ban on dancing, aiming to overturn the outdated rule in time for their upcoming prom.

This electrifying musical features a show-stopping soundtrack packed with chart-topping songs, from Deniece Williams’ ‘Let’s Hear It for the Boy’ to Bonnie Tyler’s high-energy hit ‘I’m Holding Out for a Hero’ and, of course, the iconic title track ‘Footloose’ by Kenny Loggins.

With explosive dance numbers and exceptional live music performed by our extraordinarily talented cast of actor-musicians, Footloose is guaranteed to leave you dancing all the way home!

Based on the hit 1980s film starring Kevin Bacon, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, ‘Footloose’ runs at the New Wolsey Theatre from Thu 3 - Sat 26 Oct, with Audio Described, Captioned, BSL interpreted and Relaxed/Dementia-friendly options available, as well as a bookable pre-show Touch Tour on Fri 18 Oct.
