Wolsey Writers Workshops
A day of creative writing in NW2.
Journalling: Writing Personal Experience (Saturday 8 February)
Do you keep a diary? What are at the potential benefits of a daily writing practice? Whether you are journalling to support your mental health, or trying to improve your creative writing muscle, this workshop will offer tips and insights to help nurture a regular writing habit. We will also explore autofiction as a genre – storytelling based on lived experience – and discuss the joys and perils of sharing your personal journey with other people.
Wolsey Writers one-day workshops are led by Katie Ward, an award-winning author from Suffolk. Every session (10:30am-3:45pm) includes a deep dive into our topic, tools and techniques to improve your creative practice, and dedicated time for your own writing or WIP.
‘It was brilliant – I can’t remember a better writing class.’
‘Katie is a wonderful teacher – encouraging and enabling.’
‘I learned so much and have discovered some new directions to follow.’
Suitable for adults (beginner to intermediate levels) and young people age 16+ with a commitment to creative writing. Check socials for updates: Instagram @wolseywriters; Twitter/X @WolseyWriters; Facebook @katiewardwriter.
