We want everyone to enjoy their visit to the New Wolsey Theatre so this page will give you all our guidelines on policies and procedures.

Tickets

If you cannot attend a performance:

  • Up to 48 hours before a performance we will issue credit to use against a future booking or exchange your tickets to another performance of the same production.
  • Within 48 hours of the performance. If the performance is sold out, we will offer to resell your tickets. If we are able to resell your tickets, we will issue credit to use against a future booking. If we are unable to resell your ticket you will not be refunded.

Please note:

  • If we are able to issue you credit, this will be subject to a £2.50 administration fee per ticket.
  • If we are able to exchange your tickets, you will need to pay any difference in ticket price.
  • New Wolsey members & season ticket holders may make unlimited exchanges up to 48 hours before the performance at no additional cost.

If you lose your tickets:

  • We will reprint your tickets on the day of the performance for you to collect.

 

Latecomers

If you are late for a performance we will seat you at the earliest opportunity. This may not be until the interval. We may need to seat you in alternative seats to those that you had booked to avoid disturbing the show.

Additional information:

  • Any postage and/or card charges are non-refundable.
  • Ticketing offers issued, cannot be used against tickets that have already been purchased, unless expressly stated in the offer.
  • Unless stated, any discounts, promotional codes or offers are not valid on Band C seats or tickets priced at £15 or less.

 

Gift Vouchers

  • Vouchers may be exchanged at face value for tickets only from The New Wolsey Theatre.
  • Once purchased vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Vouchers can be exchanged for items of a higher value on payment of the difference.
  • Any remaining balance on the voucher is stored against the customer account as a credit, to be used against future bookings with us.
  • Standard conditions of sale apply to items purchased using this voucher.
  • Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Vouchers will be sent out via e-mail or can be printed onto a ticket slip when purchased in person.
  • By purchasing Gift Vouchers from The New Wolsey, you consent to The New Wolsey Theatre Co. Ltd holding your details on its sales database. We will not contact you for any reason other than in connection with your purchase unless you ask us to. To join the mailing list please contact the Box Office (link).

Accuracy

The information contained within this website and on printed media, is correct at time of going to publication. The New Wolsey Theatre Company reserves the right to make alterations where necessary and is not liable for any subsequent omissions.

 

Recording

The use of recording equipment of any description is strictly prohibited in the theatre.

 

Annoyances

For everyone’s benefit please turn off all mobile phones and similar devices during the performance.

 

Re-sale of Tickets

Reselling of New Wolsey theatre tickets is strictly prohibited.
Tickets found to be resold may be cancelled without refund.

 

Event Cancellation

In the unlikely event of a performance cancellation, all bookers will be notified as soon as possible and offered an exchange, credit or refund to original payment method.

 

Behaviour

All attendees must behave in a respectful manner. Disruptive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated as we want to provide a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

 

Children and babies

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Some performances may have specific age restrictions; please check before booking. Children under 18 months are welcome to sit on an adult’s knee. Buggies, prams and car seats must be left outside of the auditorium – please ask at the box office for assistance with storage.

We have a limited amount of comfort booster cushions and are available on a first come first served basis. Please take a look at our Venue access page to find out more information regarding cushions and ear defenders

 

Safety & Security

Prohibited Items:
Weapons, illegal substances and items considered dangerous are strictly prohibited. We kindly ask you not to bring in alcohol onto the premises.

 

Liability

The New Wolsey Theatre is not responsible for any personal property lost, stolen or damaged while on our premises.
